Responsible use of firearms and ammunition is a very important part of the ammunitions and armory industry, and Training Centre’s all over the world.
PFTC (Professional Firearms Training Council) Accredited Training Centre’s has an important role to play in getting the private sector and security industry equipped, to successfully fulfil law and order, prepare private citizens for self-defense scenarios, train occasional and/or dedicated sportsman.
Our Training Centre recognizes the importance each entity must play to ensure the highest degree of success of all individuals that will undergo any type of training at our facility.
The Marksman’s Nest Firearm Training Centre and Shooting Range, is a subdivision of Jabulani Security (Pty) Ltd, a duly registered and private security company.
Jabulani Security bears all the accreditations as required by different entities in the security and firearms industry, and offers a variety of specialist commodities to the sector.
MEET THE TEAM
Our training facility is blessed with some of the best Instructors in the security and firearms industry, with all being registered as Advanced and Tactical Firearms Instructors, Assessors, and/or Moderators with the South African Professional Firearms Training Council (SA PFTC), and the security sector in general. The team is steered by Geoffrey Coetzee, a former Mechanised Infantry Officer of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF), who has extensive military operational and training experience, which includes, but is not limited to, training of recruits as part of basic military training, training troops for coin urban, rural, and conventional exercises, training junior and senior military staff in military battle handling for joint forces conventional exercises, National and International Peacekeeping missions.
Along with some of his team mates served in military operational and training units posts ranging from; Platoon Sergeant, Company Sergeant Major, Platoon Commander, Company Commander, Company Second-in-Command, Battalion Second-in-Command, Combat team and Group Safety Officer. Geoffrey also has extensive knowledge and experience as an Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practitioner (ETDP), and has trained numerous ETDP’s; Facilitators, Assessors, Moderators, ECF, training material and course Designers, Skills Development Facilitators, (SDF)and many other unit standards across a variety South African SETA’s. He also served as an external verifier for the Safety and Security Sector Education Training Authority (SASSETA), along with a team of verifiers, assisting the safety and security sector with training quality assurance, and periodic monitoring and evaluation of accredited training centres across South Africa. Trained with, and by some of the best, he now along with his team get to share a wealth and variety of life skills, firearm training, knowledge and applications at the Marksman’s Nest Shooting Range in the Western Cape daily. A short moment spent at the training facility, is a moment imprinted and remembered forever. Let us make memories together!
Furthermore; Training Centre Compliance: We are fully compliant will all rules, regulations and national prescriptions as required. All our instructors are qualified and licensed to handle and train in firearms. Collectively our trainers have more than 200 years of military, para-military and private security operational and/or strategic experience, and trained more than 1000 learners over the last few years in firearm proficiency, and defensive skills competencies.
